Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 5 of these.
You must be a New Jersey residential customer of JCP&L.
Existing single-family homes only; new construction isn't eligible.
The equipment being replaced must run on gas, oil or propane. For full displacement, the heat pump must be sized for 100% of the home's heating load (Manual J/S) and the fossil fuel system decommissioned. Heat pumps added alongside a fossil fuel system for only part of the load don't qualify.
A qualified contractor must install ENERGY STAR (or NEEP-listed cold climate) equipment, pull permits, and the project must pass quality inspection.
What to doHire a licensed HVAC contractor who will size the system with ACCA Manual J/S/D, pull permits and submit the Clean Comfort application and decommissioning form. Get a quote from a contractor
