Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 5 of these.
Active NIPSCO residential service. Gas equipment (furnaces, boilers) needs NIPSCO residential gas service; electric equipment (heat pumps, air conditioners, water heaters, appliances, tune-ups) needs NIPSCO residential electric service; thermostats and storm windows need either.
The equipment must be installed in a property you own, or you need the owner's permission. Landlords can be paid the rebate.
What to doIf you rent, get the property owner's permission before installing.
Equipment must be new and installed between January 1 and November 30, 2026. Used, refurbished, leased or donated equipment doesn't qualify.
Equipment bought through NIPSCO's Online Marketplace, Retail Products or Midstream Channel can't also get this rebate. Dual-fuel customers installing a heat pump with a gas furnace or boiler can claim one or the other, not both.
HVAC tune-ups must be done by a licensed HVAC contractor. Other equipment may be self-installed if it meets code and program requirements.
