NIPSCO customers who buy a new ENERGY STAR certified manufactured home can get $150 to $3,000, depending on the home's size and whether it has a heat pump, heat pump water heater or high-efficiency furnace.

Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 3 of these.
The buyer must be a NIPSCO residential customer with active electric and/or gas service at the lot where the home is set.
A new, detached single or double section manufactured home with an ENERGY STAR Version 3 rating received between January 1 and November 30, 2026.
ENERGY STAR set-up requirements must be followed and verified on site by a Quality Assurance Provider.

The program sets these minimums.
>= 7.5 HSPF2 / 14.3 SEER2.
>= 2.20 UEF.
>= 95 AFUE.
ENERGY STAR Manufactured Home Version 3 rating, built in an EPA-recognized QA plant, Climate Zone 3 design package.
Applying
How to apply
Postmarked within 90 days of service activation. The home's ENERGY STAR rating must be from January 1 to November 30, 2026.
- Buy an ENERGY STAR certified manufactured new home.
Confirm the package (heat pump, heat pump water heater or furnace) and the section size.
- Start NIPSCO service at the home site.
- Apply within 90 days of service activation.
