UGI Electric residential customers who replace electric heating with an ENERGY STAR natural gas furnace or boiler get $1,000, or $1,500 for a 97%+ AFUE furnace or 95%+ boiler.

How much you get
$1,000 for an ENERGY STAR gas furnace at 95% to under 97% AFUE or an ENERGY STAR gas boiler; $1,500 for an ENERGY STAR gas furnace at 97%+ AFUE or an ENERGY STAR gas boiler at 95%+. The amount depends on which of these fits your install.

Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 3 of these.
Residential customer of UGI Electric.
Must replace an electric heating system with natural gas, so natural gas service must be available at the home.
Can't be combined with UGI gas division rebates for the same equipment.

What equipment counts
The program sets these minimums for furnaces, ac and thermostats.
- Furnaces
ENERGY STAR certified natural gas furnace, 95% AFUE or higher ($1,500 at 97%+).
Applying
How to apply
Buy and install between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2027; the application must be postmarked within 180 days of purchase and by May 31, 2027.
- Check whether natural gas is available at your home.
- Have the gas furnace or boiler installed.
- Apply online or print and mail the application.
Include an itemized invoice showing retailer, purchase or install date, description, manufacturer, model, price and proof of payment.
