A free, roughly one-hour home energy assessment for South Jersey Gas customers who heat with gas, with free installation of products like efficient showerheads, faucet aerators, LED bulbs and smart power strips, plus free installation of up to two smart thermostats bought on the SJG Marketplace.

Must have an active South Jersey Gas residential account.
Single-family home, townhome or condo, or a multifamily building with fewer than four units.
You must heat your home with natural gas.

South Jersey Gas customers who heat with gas and have household income between 250% and 400% of the federal poverty guidelines can get a free assessment, up to $14,000 in insulation, air sealing and other upgrades, and up to $2,500 in health and safety improvements at no cost.

South Jersey Gas HVAC and Water Heating Rebates
Up to $1,750 back
South Jersey Gas residential customers get rebates of $400 to $1,750 for replacing a non-condensing gas furnace or boiler with a condensing model and for efficient gas water heaters, plus $100 smart thermostats and, through SJG, $100 to $200 for a central AC paired with a gas rebate. Low- and moderate-income customers get $300 more per piece of equipment.
