Ameren Illinois pays rebates or instant store coupons on ENERGY STAR heat pump water heaters ($800), smart thermostats (up to $125), variable speed pool pumps, clothes washers, electric dryers, air purifiers, dehumidifiers, room air conditioners, ceiling fans, vent fans and water coolers.

How much you get
A fixed rebate per product, paid after purchase through the online rebate portal, or taken off at the register with an instant coupon at Lowe's or The Home Depot (and on the Online Marketplace for some products). The amount depends on which of these fits your install.

Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 3 of these.
Ameren Illinois residential electric delivery customer. Clothes washer rebates are also open to Ameren Illinois gas customers.
For the smart thermostat rebate, the home's primary heat must be natural gas or electricity delivered by Ameren Illinois, or propane.
Buy the product by December 31 of the current year and apply within 60 days of purchase or by December 31, whichever comes first. Each product has a per-household limit (one heat pump water heater, one thermostat, one pool pump).

The program sets these minimums for water heaters, furnaces, ac and thermostats and appliances.
- Heat pump water heaters
ENERGY STAR certified.
- Thermostats
ENERGY STAR certified.
Clothes washers, air purifiers, dehumidifiers, room air conditioners, ceiling fans, vent fans and water coolers: ENERGY STAR certified. Electric dryers: ENERGY STAR certified and at least 4.4 cu. ft.
In-ground pool pump: variable speed and ENERGY STAR certified.
Applying
How to apply
Buy by December 31 of the current year; apply within 60 days of purchase or by December 31, whichever comes first.

Confirm the model is ENERGY STAR certified on the rebate portal or ENERGY STAR site; store signage does not guarantee it qualifies.
- Buy it.
At Lowe's or The Home Depot, redeem the instant coupon at checkout (no application). Anywhere else, keep the receipt for the online rebate.
- Apply online within 60 days.
Submit the online rebate application within 60 days of purchase or by December 31, whichever comes first. Call 1.866.838.6918 for a paper application.
- Receive the rebate.
Allow 6 to 8 weeks for processing.
