You may owe for the thermostat. If you leave within the first 12 months, GCEC can recoup the cost of the thermostat and any installation.
Will my home get uncomfortable during an event?
No more than 4 degrees in either direction. Each event lasts up to four hours, and the first hour pre-cools or pre-heats your home.
What if I already have a smart thermostat?
You can swap it for a free ecobee3 lite. GCEC may later let members enroll certain existing ecobee, Honeywell, Emerson and Nest models.
Who do I call if my thermostat isn't working?
ecobee, not GCEC. Use ecobee's online support center or call ecobee support at (877) 932-6233.
How does installation get scheduled?
Through a contractor you pick. GCEC emails you a voucher and a list of contractors; the contractor picks up the thermostat from GCEC and turns in the voucher after installing it.
