The program sets these minimums for furnaces, ac and thermostats.

ENERGY STAR-certified smart thermostat installed in a residentially-metered building.
Applying
How to apply
Within 120 days of installation; later applications may still be paid if the program year budget isn't exhausted.
- Buy and install a new ENERGY STAR certified smart thermostat.
- Keep a dated receipt showing retail price, brand, model and serial number.
- Apply within 120 days.
Online, or mail the 2026 form to Summit Utilities Rebates, 16350 Felton Rd., Lansing, MI 48906, or email SummitUtilities@clearesult.com. A thermostat installed with a new furnace can go on the furnace form.
- Receive the rebate.
