Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 4 of these.
Dominion Energy Virginia residential customer on a residential rate who is responsible for the electric bill. Customers on a time-of-use rate can't join.
Single-family detached or attached home (townhome) or single-family manufactured, mobile or modular home.
An eligible ENERGY STAR heat pump water heater (brand on the program's list) connected to home Wi-Fi and activated in the manufacturer's app.

Stay enrolled for a continuous 12 months and take part in at least 75% of event hours to earn the payment.

- Check your heat pump water heater brand is on the eligible list.
- Connect it to Wi-Fi and activate it in the manufacturer's app.
- Enroll online.
- Participate in events for 12 months.
Pausing through the app stops participation for 72 hours; the water heater must be in at least 75% of event hours.
- Receive the rebate check at your enrollment anniversary.
