Applying
How to apply
Follow these steps.
- Find the community action agency that runs weatherization in your county.
The OEO's Find Help page lists each agency, the counties it weatherizes and a weatherization contact.
- Apply with that agency and give income documents.
Eligibility is good for one year; when the agency reaches you on its waiting list it may ask for updated proof of income and an energy bill.
- Energy audit.
The agency's auditor decides which measures pay off for your home.
- Crew completes the work and a certified inspector checks it.
