Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 3 of these.
You must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
A new ENERGY STAR smart thermostat on the qualified ENERGY STAR list at the time of purchase, bought between January 1 and December 31, 2026.
Limit of 2 smart thermostat rebates per residential account per calendar year.

Applying
How to apply
You apply online. Within 45 days of purchase, and postmarked no later than December 31, 2026.
- Check the model against PSEG Long Island's 2026 eligible lists ($100 and $130).
- Buy a new ENERGY STAR smart thermostat in 2026.
Keep the paid-in-full receipt showing the model number and itemized cost; online purchases need proof of delivery or pickup.
- Apply online or by email within 45 days of purchase.
Online at psegli.capturesportal.com or by email to MYREBATELI@psegliny.com, and no later than December 31, 2026.
- Receive a check or account credit within 10 weeks.

Up to $85
PSEG Long Island customers with central air and a qualifying Wi-Fi thermostat get $85 for each thermostat they enroll in Smart Savers, plus $25 each following year, for letting PSEG Long Island make brief adjustments on high-demand summer days.
