PSEG Long Island customers with central air and a qualifying Wi-Fi thermostat get $85 for each thermostat they enroll in Smart Savers, plus $25 each following year, for letting PSEG Long Island make brief adjustments on high-demand summer days.

Eligibility

Do I qualify?

You need to meet all 4 of these.

  • PSEG Long Island customer.

  • You must have (or buy) an approved internet-connected thermostat from a listed brand (Alarm.com, Amazon Smart Thermostat, Ecobee, Honeywell, Lux Geo, Nest, Radio Thermostat CT 50/CT 80, Sensi, Vivint) and use it to control central air conditioning.

  • Yearly rewards require taking part fully in at least 50% of the curtailment events each summer.

  • Smart Savers participants can't also be in PSEG Long Island's System Relief Program.

Applying

How to apply

You apply online.

  1. Make sure you have central air and a qualifying Wi-Fi thermostat.
  2. Enroll each thermostat through the Smart Savers page.
  3. Get an $85 check within eight weeks after your enrollment is approved.
  4. Take part in summer events (May 1 to September 30).

    You can override any adjustment, but you must fully take part in at least half of the events to earn the $25 yearly reward.
