• Must replace a fossil-fueled (gas, oil or propane) appliance.

• Work must be coordinated and completed by Elysian Energy, the county's contractor. No retroactive incentives.

Stacking

Use it with

Stacks with utility EmPOWER rebates (e.g. $1,600 heat pump water heater, midstream heat pump incentives). Utility programs are for that utility’s customers, so use the one for your utility.

  Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (Pepco)

  Up to $15,000 back

  $100 home energy assessment, then rebates up to $10,000 for insulation, air sealing and other upgrades, or up to $15,000 when you switch gas, oil or propane heating or water heating to electric.

  Up to $15,000 back

  $100 home energy audit, then rebates up to $10,000 (75% of cost) for air sealing, insulation and equipment, or up to $15,000 if you switch a gas, oil or propane system to an electric heat pump.

  Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate (Pepco)

  $1,600 back

  $1,600 rebate on an ENERGY STAR certified heat pump (hybrid) water heater. Instant in-store coupons end October 31, 2026; for the post-purchase rebate, buy by November 30 and apply by December 7, 2026.
