How much you get
Air source heat pump: $50 per half-ton (14.3 SEER2), $75 (15.2 SEER2) or $100 (16 SEER2 or higher). The amount depends on which of these fits your install.

You must be a member of DS&O Electric Cooperative.
Equipment must meet DS&O's qualifying standards.
What to doInstall a permanently installed air source heat pump with at least 14.5 SEER and 8.2 HSPF, a geothermal heat pump meeting the COP and EER minimums, or an electric water heater of 40 gallons or more (5,500 watts max) with a safety pressure relief valve. See what equipment counts
Water heater rebate recipients must allow DS&O to install a load management device.

What equipment counts
The program sets these minimums.
Minimum SEER 14.5 and HSPF 8.2; permanently installed.
COP 3.3 and EER 14.1.
COP 3.6 and EER 16.2.
At least 40 gallons, at most 5,500 watts connected, safety pressure relief valve; tankless not eligible.
Applying
How to apply
Follow these steps.
- Install equipment that meets the qualifying standards.
- Fill out the Certificate of Installation (heat pumps) or the online water heater rebate request.
Heat pump forms can be submitted online, faxed to 785-655-2805 (Attn Rebate) or mailed to P.O. Box 286, Solomon, KS 67480.
- Send a W-9 if the rebate is $600 or more.
- Receive the rebate.
