You own and live in the home.
Single-family home with central air conditioning or an air-source heat pump. The program is meant for homes averaging 750 kWh or more a month in summer.
Enroll with an eligible smart thermostat model.
What to doBuy an eligible smart thermostat (the MidAmerican marketplace sells discounted models) and opt in at checkout or with the enrollment form.

From June 1 to September 30, on weekday event days between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., MidAmerican precools the home and adjusts the thermostat.
