Cedar Falls Utilities EV Community and Off-Peak Charging Rebate

Cedar Falls Utilities customers who drive a plug-in hybrid or fully electric car can get up to $50 per vehicle for joining CFU's EV Community, plus up to $8 a month per Level 2 charger for charging overnight on weekdays or on weekends.

Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 2 of these.
Residential or business CFU customer; for Off-Peak Charging, CFU must provide the electricity for charging.
Plug-in hybrid or fully electric vehicle that can travel faster than 60 mph; golf carts and neighborhood electric vehicles do not qualify. Off-Peak Charging needs a Level 2 or faster charger.

How to apply
The 2026 form's deadline is January 31, 2027.
- Fill out the EV Community application.
One form per vehicle, with a photocopy of the vehicle registration. Tick the Off-Peak Charging box to opt in.
- Send it to CFU.
Email energyservices@cfunet.net or mail to 1 Utility Parkway, PO Box 769, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.
- Receive bill credits.
The EV rebate is a bill credit; off-peak credits are paid yearly each January.
