How much you get
$1.75 bill credit per kWh saved during an event, measured against your predicted usage from the previous 10 days (excluding event days, weekends and holidays). REC expects 10 to 15 events from June through September, typically 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays.

REC residential member (most residential members qualify), enrolled through MyREC SmartHub with text or email alerts turned on.

How to apply
You apply online. Events run June 1 through September 30 each year; enroll before summer to take part.
- Log in to MyREC SmartHub.
Click Contact Us, Need Help, then select Summer Savings Plan.
- Turn on text and/or email alerts for the Summer Savings Plan.
- Cut your use when an event is called.
Alerts arrive by 12 p.m. on event days.
- Bill credit for kWh saved.
