Eligibility

Do I qualify?

You need to meet all 3 of these.

  • Rocky Mountain Power residential customer in Utah on rate schedule 1, 2, 3 or residential net metering. Landlords whose tenants are billed on those schedules also qualify.

  • Existing single-family or manufactured home, not new construction.

  • Home must be heated by an electric furnace or heat pump, or cooled by a permanently installed ducted system serving at least 80% of the home. Evaporative cooling doesn't qualify.

    ENERGY STAR certified and on the Qualified Smart Thermostats list at time of purchase.

Applying

How to apply

You apply online. Within 180 days of purchase.

  1. Check the measure's requirements.

    Review the product and home requirements on the measure's Wattsmart Homes page.

  2. Buy and install the qualifying product.
  3. Apply online within 180 days.

    Create an account in the Wattsmart Homes online portal, enter your Rocky Mountain Power account number and service address exactly as on your bill, and upload your itemized receipt or invoice.

    Go to wattsmarthomes.capturesportal.com

  4. Receive the rebate.

    Issued within 14 business days after approval.
