Elizabethtown Gas customers who heat with gas and have household income between 250% and 400% of the federal poverty guidelines can get a free assessment, up to $14,000 in insulation, air sealing and other upgrades, and up to $2,500 in health and safety improvements at no cost.

Up to $16,500 of free improvements: up to $14,000 in energy-efficient upgrades and up to $2,500 in health and safety improvements, plus a free assessment.

You need to meet all 5 of these.
Must have an active Elizabethtown Gas residential account.
Single-family home, townhome or condo, or a multifamily building with fewer than four units.
You must heat your home with natural gas.
Combined household income of 250% to 400% of the federal poverty guidelines (2026: $39,901 to $63,840 for one person, $82,501 to $132,000 for a family of four). Qualify through a moderate-income census tract, NJ SHARES participation, or proof of income.
Renters must complete the landlord permission.
