Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 5 of these.
Equipment must be installed at a location served by Webster City Municipal Utilities (WCMU).
Geothermal must be ENERGY STAR rated or at least EER 14.0 and COP 3.3; the geothermal replacement rebate needs the old unit to be 10+ years old. Appliances must be ENERGY STAR rated.
Air source add-on heat pumps require signing a load control agreement that lets the utility interrupt power to the heat pump compressor.
What to doSign WCMU's air source heat pump load control agreement when applying.
Insulation and weatherization rebates are for existing homes only (not new construction), and only for homes with an electric heat meter or central air conditioning.
The heat pump check-up must be done by a contractor who completes and signs the rebate checklist for the system type.
