Do I qualify?

You need to meet all 3 of these.

  • KIUC member or customer on Kauaʻi (the form asks for a KIUC account number and service address).

  • The new unit must be an ENERGY STAR heat pump water heater that replaces an existing electric water heater, a non-functioning heat pump water heater or a non-functioning solar water heater.

  • New construction does not qualify.

Applying

How to apply

You apply online. No end date stated. First come, first served until program funds run out.

  1. Buy and install an ENERGY STAR heat pump water heater to replace an eligible water heater.
  2. Fill out the online Heat Pump Rebate Form.

    Attach the receipt of purchase and installation (up to 2 files, 20 MB limit).

    Go to kiuc.coop

  3. Add the replaced and new water heater details.

    The form asks for the type and capacity of the old unit, and the manufacturer, model, EF rating, purchase and installation dates and costs of the new one.

  4. Sign and submit the form.
