Hawaiʻi Gas residential customers who buy three gas appliances, one of them a gas water heater, can get a credit on their gas account equal to the purchase price, up to $500.

Credit on your Hawaiʻi Gas account equal to the purchase price of the qualifying appliances, up to a maximum of $500. First come, first served while funding lasts.
Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 3 of these.
Residential Hawaiʻi Gas account holder on Hawaiʻi Island, Lānaʻi, Maui, Molokaʻi, Kauaʻi or Oʻahu, or someone who becomes one within 60 days of submitting the application.
What to doOpen a residential Hawaiʻi Gas account within 60 days of applying; a Hawaiʻi Gas representative will talk with you about getting gas to your home.
Buy at least three new natural gas or propane appliances, one of which must be a water heater, installed in the same home.
Newly built homes and newly purchased homes that came with the appliances don't qualify.

How to apply
You apply by mail. The application must be postmarked within 30 days of the purchase dates.
- Buy three new gas appliances, including a gas water heater.
- Fill in the Good Energy Credit Application.
List makes, models and purchase dates.
- Mail it with the ORIGINAL receipts within 30 days of purchase.

- A Hawaiʻi Gas representative contacts you about installation.
- If approved, the credit is applied to your Hawaiʻi Gas account.
