Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 5 of these.
Active SCE residential service account; the vehicle must be registered at that address (the account doesn't have to be in your name).
A pre-owned battery-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle on SCE's Eligible Vehicle List, with more than 7,500 miles or previously registered to another owner. Hydrogen, CNG, e-bikes, motorcycles, scooters and neighborhood vehicles don't qualify.
For the $4,000 Rebate Plus only: household income under the limit for your household size and county (look it up by ZIP code on the program page), based on your most recent IRS tax return transcript; or enrollment in a qualifying public assistance program (next rule). Dependents don't qualify for Rebate Plus.
Rebate Plus also goes to applicants enrolled, on the purchase date, in Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, CalFresh/SNAP, CalWORKs (TANF)/Tribal TANF, Drive Clean in the San Joaquin, Head Start (tribal), LIHEAP, income-qualified Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal for Families, SCE Charge Ready Home (income-qualified approval), SSI or WIC.
Keep the vehicle registered to you in California for at least 20 months (leases at least 20 months). One rebate per applicant every 24 months, up to three vehicles over the program; not for a vehicle that already got a PG&E or SDG&E Pre-Owned EV Rebate, CFRP or California Clean Fuel Reward.
