Clean Lawn equipment Incentive Program (El Dorado County AQMD)

El Dorado County residents who trade in working gas or diesel lawn equipment for new cordless electric equipment get up to $100 for a leaf blower, up to $200 for a walk-behind mower, chainsaw, trimmer or edger, and up to $2,000 for a ride-on mower. Pre-approval is required before disposing of the old equipment.

Eligibility
Do I qualify?
You need to meet all 4 of these.
Your home is in El Dorado County, California.
Live in El Dorado County and use the equipment there.
You must own a working gas or diesel piece of lawn equipment and replace it like-for-like with new cordless, zero-emission equipment (corded isn't eligible), disposing of the old one at a listed site within 30 days of purchase.
The AQMD must approve your application before you dispose of the old equipment.

Within 30 days of purchase, at El Dorado Disposal (Placerville), Radius Recycling (Rancho Cordova) or South Tahoe Refuse.
- Submit your receipt.
Include the County payee data form if the incentive is $600 or more.
