CJGas pays residential customers rebates on new natural gas appliances - up to $750 for a tankless water heater, up to the cost of a 50-gallon tank for a storage water heater, $500 for a furnace and $100 each for a dryer or range - up to $1,200 per home per calendar year, after a free inspection.

How much you get
Water heaters: up to $750 for tankless and up to the cost of a 50-gallon tank for storage tanks (new construction or conversion from electric or propane); existing gas water heater customers get up to the current cost of a 50-gallon standard tank. The amount depends on which of these fits your install.

Cullman-Jefferson Counties Gas District residential customers.
Appliances must be new (not previously used) and installed correctly.
CJGas must inspect every installed appliance (free) as close to the install date as possible, and it must pass before the rebate is processed.

How to apply
Follow these steps.
- Buy a new natural gas appliance (water heaters can be bought from CJGas).
- Have it installed and keep the receipt.
- Schedule the free CJGas inspection as soon as possible after installation.
Water heaters bought from CJGas get the rebate immediately, but the inspection must happen within 90 days or the rebate is billed back.
- Receive the rebate once the appliance passes inspection.
